Ever After

Dear Jane,

I had C6 preped and ready to go, so when the girls and I sat down this afternoon to watch a movie that we had checked out from the library (Moonstone), I started to stitch! I just finished the block. Check it out:

So, here’s how I did it.

1. Cut background square of fabric larger than you need.

2. Cut circle template and center “plus sign” template from freezer paper. Iron on to wrong side of fabrics.

3. Trim 1/4″ away from edge of freezer paper. Finger press and baste raw edge of each shape under.

4. Applique circle onto background leaving a small opening to pull out freezer paper after you have removed the basting stitches. Finish appliquing down.

5. Applique “plus sign” shape on top of circle. Remove basting stitches. Trim excess layers from back side of block and extract freezer paper template.

As much as I’d like to start another block right now, I need to go make dinner. Jane, I’m sure that you know the feeling of having household/family responsibilities interfere with precious quilting time. Oh well! 🙂
